iHub Bhutan is an innovative workspace, event venue, and incubator for people with purpose and who conduct business with values. Our programs are designed to provide entrepreneurs with the tools they need to succeed, while also helping to accelerate community innovation. Our versatile space can be used for conducting business, hosting meetings, teaching workshops, holding events, designing products, and even preparing meals in our communal kitchen.
iHub Bhutan is more than just a workspace – it’s a vibrant community full of individuals with shared interests and goals. With our joining the Global Impact Hub Network, we have access to a wealth of knowledge and resources that can help us amplify our impact in the local community and make our mark on the world.
iHub Bhutan is a locally rooted and operated workspace that has been building networks, training entrepreneurs, and launching start-ups since its inception in 2017. Our team of talented individuals from all backgrounds have helped entrepreneurs launch their ideas with minimal capital investments and have helped create employment opportunities. We are proud to say that we have four successful start-ups that have created an impact and have grown from just a table and chair to a flourishing business.
At iHub Bhutan, our members are more than just co-workers – they are part of a tribe connected by a common purpose of making positive and sustainable impacts in our local community and the country as a whole. Our members support each other not only through shared values, but also through lending time, hosting events, expressing themselves through art, music, and dance, contributing seed funding, offering mentorship, launching companies, and prototyping the future.
iHub Bhutan is excited to relocate to a bigger and more central space in the heart of the capital city. Here, our leading thinkers and doers will have easy access to public transit, banks, and government offices. We also plan to build one of the largest libraries here with resources for R&D and students to access the latest and modern books.
iHub Bhutan seeks to raise funds not just for infrastructure development, but also to establish incubator programs around climate and women entrepreneurs. For our climate program, we will be targeting school-going students to help them develop the concepts of risk-taking, leadership, and doing business with values. Our goal is to prepare them to become the future business leaders of our community.
At iHub Bhutan, we are committed to empowering female entrepreneurs. Our data from the Ministry of Trade shows that only 10% of business startups are led by women, and we want to change that. We plan to reach out to those who are looking to start a business and provide them with support through our programs and networks.
At iHub Bhutan, we believe in the power of turning our ideas into reality. We understand that making the world better doesn’t just happen on its own – it takes dedication and hard work to bring our visions to life. Imagine what it would be like if we all pursued our passions and turned our ideas into something tangible.
iHub Bhutan is a professional workspace that invests in ideas that matter to its founders and provides access to events that can help boost their skills and grow their networks. While family and friends are important, we provide an environment where they can connect with a supportive and inspiring local and global community.
At iHub Bhutan, we have used our own resources and determination to set up a small space in Thimphu from the ground up. We have learned what it takes to make ideas a reality and have a positive impact. We have discovered what a space needs to foster collaboration and help others realize their goals.
At iHub Bhutan, we have built a vibrant community of social innovators, entrepreneurs, students, artists, freelancers, researchers, small start-ups, and large organizations. We have organized events, designed workshops, curated spaces for stakeholders to share stories and exchange ideas, facilitated hackathons, and even hosted the first ever national dialogue on entrepreneurship in the country. Come join us at iHub Bhutan and be part of this inspiring and collaborative community!
iHub Bhutan has collaborated with countless partners, from JICA Bhutan Office and Loden Foundation to Venture Well and University of Texas to UNDP Bhutan and schools. By working across sectors, we are creating an ecosystem that is diverse, inclusive, and supportive of changemakers in Bhutan.
iHub Bhutan is now ready to take the next step and scale our space, community, and impact. We are excited to move into a new building with various areas catering to different needs and work styles: a loud, dynamic area for meeting and mingling; a focus room for zoned-in concentration; state-of-the-art meeting rooms to impress investors; a workshop room to prototype ideas; a huge events space for networking; and even a fun, community kitchen and chillout area with a nap hideout, Zoom, and call booths. Plus, we are co-creating this space with our community and some of our stakeholders will have their offices in the same building.
At iHub Bhutan, we strive to create a melting pot of ideas that will help move us towards a more just and sustainable economy. We want to be the place in Bhutan that supports entrepreneurs, start-ups, and organizations to use their potential to create a positive impact through community, entrepreneurship, and innovation. To make this vision a reality in Bhutan, we need collective action and support to reach our funding goal.
We are inspired by people and organizations who solve complex and pressing social problems with entrepreneurial solutions. These courageous individuals and groups demonstrate that it is possible to make a positive impact while still achieving success. This project is dedicated to them, and we invite you to join us in supporting them and making a difference.
Our vision is to contribute to the development of Bhutan as an innovative, knowledge-based society with a strong ecosystem for start-ups that will drive sustainable economic growth and generate employment opportunities.
Our approach is to build an ecosystem of professionals dedicated to making the community better through their businesses. We have been putting our money where our mouth is since 2017, and now it’s time to take our ideas to the next level. We have bootstrapped and prototyped our space with what we’ve learned, so join us at iHub Bhutan and help us turn our visions into reality!
We want to create an ecosystem of collaboration and support to help aspiring entrepreneurs succeed. We have seen how some great ideas have failed, and now we are setting up offices to anchor mature social start-ups, researchers, and innovation departments into our ecosystem. Our space will feature different working zones to explore new ways of working together and prominent event spaces to inspire and connect people.
We invite you to join us in creating a multidisciplinary and versatile workspace that will be the foundation for a vibrant community of changemakers who are paving the way to a more sustainable and just society.
We understand the difficulty of turning our ideas into reality. We know that making the world better doesn’t happen on its own – it takes dedication and hard work. That’s why we invite you to join us in creating a workspace that can serve as a melting pot for ideas and people who care about shaping a better future. Welcome aboard – your passion and drive are integral to our vision.
